July 3rd.at 15.00.hrs. method is ledgering.
12ft sea/pier rods. Giant Carp reels. Reel line is 15lb.mono,  hook line is 10lb.mono. The hook is 14.barbed. Garlic Sausage as bait.
Just cast straight out to about 25 to 40 ft. with both rods. I have also tried the pole with a lot of success, and it is faster bringing the fish to the net.

13ft Ledger Rod / 5lb line / 14's hook - Freeline fishing
Garlic Sausge
Speed fishing !
Freeline fishing - Cast bait anywhere in front of you and allow bait to sink slowly.
When rod pulls round - strike
I do not use an indicator but rely on the rod tip
Bites are every cast - if bait does touch the bottom then re-cast
Most fish will be Rudd on or just below the surface
Speed is everything here - especially in a match

Crucians Place
Single maggot in the shade of the tree.

Sweetcorn - Mealworm
Set float depth at just over 3 1/2ft
Cast to the left of the peg and allow float to trot under the tree root tight to the bank.
Sweetcorn will produce good Chub
Mealworm will catch some good Perch and bigger Chub
Try alternating between the two baits to get best results.

Misc

Summer months. Junes good. Just before high tide. Try different times of day but dawn and dusk can be quite good, but you have to time them right with the tides!

14ft Surf Rod / Abu Abassadeur Reel / 30lb Mono Mainline / 15lb Mono Hook line.
Fixed Ledger / 3oz sea lead / 8 barbed Hook. Set drag at full. Watch out for long casts!
Scallops/Crab/Sandeel/Prawns/Squid - many others work too including sea worms and DB's.
Cast out from the shore or drop it close from the boats. Use 2 rods same setup with different baits.

Or try a Paternoster rig with size 1 2 or 3 sea hook.

15th July 9:00. - 15ft Float rod / 12lb mainline / 9lb hookline / Antenna Float set around 3ft deep / 14 barbed hook. Cast to the left towards the trees about 20ft out. Luncheon Meat.

Specimen lake 2

There is a tree to the left of the wooden 'fishing peg'. Float fish right under it using 12lb line straight thru' and size 12 hook. Garlic sausage as bait.
Fish on or just off the bottom. Loose feed hemp.
Carp between 4lb - 6lb seem to come out regular, but my biggest was 15-7-3.
They strip plenty of line off the reel on the first run and they do fight well.
Try using the Scopex Boilie. :o)

A float fished green lipped muscle boilie to be very successful in the summer. Cast it in the shadow on the left hand side, constantly catches 3lb to 7lb carp.
