Loch Sallagh Peg 1 |
Go for the Pike with a lure - try a
Mepps or Goldwing in April. Pike Fishing... Cast out just off the right hand side
of the island as far as you can. Set the retrieve speed to as slow as
you can but still being able to lift the spinner off the bottom when you
reel in. Hold the rod tip about 2-3ft off the surface so that the spinner
comes in at about mid-water. And that will get you a pike or two! |

|
Loch Sallagh Peg 2 |
All the species are here but I would
concentrate on the Rudd in high Summer. Put a float about 24ft out with chick
pea on 14 hook and fish it on the bottom. Loose feed with hemp. This will
give you some nice Tench, Bream, Roach and Hybreds. |

|
Wilderness peg |
All specimens live here - Pike tactics work well and there are big fish waiting to be caught. This peg is where those big Slabs are (Bream) - Polaris works very well with meatpaste or dog biscuit. 0ctober 22nd 1600, Bagley diving bang
-o-b lure, cast to far side, about half depth. |
||
|
Cloonahee |
Another Bream water and with good tench
- Again Polaris in the deep water will catch. July 15th 1700 / Both rods 'defaualt rod set up 2' (ledgering) / Maggots max size and quantity. Try meatpaste or the sinking dog biscuit |

Lanesboro |
Stick float for all species with seed baits for bigger fish. |

|
Tarmonbarry Loch |
Stick or Waggler with sweetcorn on the hook - Good Hybrids, and you will catch Perch on this bait also - even the small jack Pike may show. |
