Ledger Rod / 5lb line / 16's Hook / 1 oz lead
Luncheon Meat - Sweetcorn
Cast to the far post of the bridge on opposite bank
Use rod tip as indicator
Luncheon Meat is your best bait for Barbel but Sweetcorn will catch with
more Chub
Loose feed hemp often
You will have to wait for the bites - but worthwhile
Concentrate your feed and bait in a tight area
Look for temperature changes and seek best water temps

Use rod tip as indicator
Cast tight to the back of the barge and close the wall
This is where the fish seem to be
You should catch Bream - Tench - Crucian - Carp
You will catch less fish at closer range if you don't like using the Fly

July 1st 12:00
14ft Float rod / 3lb line / 16's Hook / Tiny yellow float
Pro 13 - Sweetcorn - Garlic Sausage
Set float depth at just over 3ft - Aim for 16.5 deg water temperature
Cast to about halfway across
Pro 13 is the bait - it attracts some bigger Bream with the odd Tench
Sweetcorn and Garlic Sausage will catch but smaller fish also
Don't worry about fishing off the bottom - the Bream don't seem to mind
If bites tail off - cast a little further or change bait

June 9th 12:00
14ft Browning Carp Agreesor / 3lb line / 16's Hook / Freeline Catbites
Cast to anywhere on the lake - keep moving from spot to spot
Once casted allow the bait to free fall through the water
The upper layers are the warmest and this is where the Carp should be.
Keep twitching the bait by quick taps on the reel to bring the bait to
the top again
The carp will take the bait on the drop and should give good reaults.
Alternatively try meatpaste ledgered on the bottom for Tench and Bream
