12ft Ledger Rod, Standard Fixed-spool Reel.
Link Ledger - 42g Cage Feeder, 7lb hook line, 8lb main line, size 14 barbless hook.
A big piece of Luncheon Meat (hair-rigged).
Maggots and Plain Crumb to put in the feeder.
Should get Barbel and Chub.
You might get the odd bite from an Eel or Brown Trout. If you are targeting the smaller fish such as the Chub, Roach, Eel and Trout then try using finer tackle like 3lb line and a size 16 hook, also use smaller baits.
Oaks

9.00 am sometime in october, ledger a bit of luncheon meat on rod one, cast to the far bank, this should get you plenty of barbel and big chub. On rod two use 6lb line,a barbless size 16 hook with 2 casters. Cast it about 10 to 14 ft into the middle of the river. This should get you big dace,big grayling, big barbel, chub & plenty of eels. If october fails to catch, try june 15th at 9.00am

Rosefish, black bream, blue spot bream, dusky grouper, greater Fork beard, mottled grouper, Pandora, red banded bream, striped mullet, swallow tailed perch, zebra bream, cuckoo wrasse.

Mottled Grouper are the fatties here.

2oz sea lead, 6 - 10 hook, prawns, scallop, or squid. Try the yellow tail lug also.
Sandeels great for big mottled grouper

Try using a sliding float for a change and a laugh! Having said that though, it does work!

 

Beach 5

 

Use 12-14 hooks with 2 full pieces of scallop.  Look for the temperature of 14.97 for groupers.

Scollups or Squid
Sea venue matches are always fished with 2 rods - both rods set up identical
Turn the boat left till you are facing the valley between the hills
You should have deep blue water in front of you now
Use maximum hook length bait with scollups
Cast between 40 to 60ft to where the water turns deep blue
Fish both rods fairly close together
Loose feed scollups on every cast - Sport should be hectic!
